UUID of the material

All master data has a UUID. Why does material not have a UUID?

A UUID is always – as the name says – universally unique. This means that two different materials cannot have the same UUID, but also that one and the same material cannot have two different UUIDs if it has to be an identifier. But exactly this cannot be determined in an IIoT platform that supports multisite manufacturing operations management. Any API that assigns a UUID to the material is not multisite compatible.
