To inform a 3rd party system on the change of the operating state of a workplace, I would like to register the endpoint via a callback first and then understand what the structure of the payload that the callback delivers will be.

I’m aware of the code sample at https://github.com/FORCAM-FORCE-Bridge-API/samples-dotnetcore/tree/master/CustomizedActionCallback. However, I would like to have a direct connection to a http endpoint – without relying on MQTT.

You can set that up using the “URL” property. There are a lot of samples in our documentation. For example: https://YOUR_BRIDGE_API_INSTANCE:PORT/ffwebservices/docs/index.html#register-a-new-callback.

If you want to use REST -> “url”: “http://third-party-system:24080/webserver

If you want to use MQTT -> “url”: “mqtt://third-party-system:1883/external/YourMQTTTopicName”
